Mull is a beautiful island with a captivating coastline of deeply indented sea lochs, dramatic cliffs and inviting shell-sand beaches just waiting to be explored. But there is more; the enticing offshore islands of Mull can be clearly seen from the western coast and the best way to discover them is from the sea.  The Treshnish Isles are uninhabited and a haven for wildlife; the puffins and other nesting seabirds are not afraid of humans and to go ashore is an absolute delight. The Isle of Staffa is world famous and, weather permitting, the boat tender can access the inside of Fingals Cave.  Our vessel anchors in the Sound of Iona to allow guests to go ashore to visit Iona Abbey and enjoy some of the wonderful walks  in the footsteps of St Columba. Visit an abandoned village on the isle of Ulva, the latest west coast island attempting community ownership. These island anchorages are the best place to view a stunning Hebridean sunset. Minke whales, dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks and otters all frequent the waters around Mull, with many bird species from puffins to eagles a common sight, more easily spotted with a wildlife guide on board.

We had a wonderful time and feel privileged to have experienced the scenery and wildlife while enjoying being pampered aboard the Emma Jane.

Such a wonderful experience. The Emma Jane was well equipped and looked very well maintained, giving us every confidence. The crew very very friendly, knowledgeable and worked hard to make out cruise the best it could be. Food cooked by Biff was fantastic and the information and support from our guide Will was superb. Our Captain James, with his huge experience and knowledge ensured we all got the best from our cruise which we much appreciated and Ashley worked extremely hard to make sure we were very well looked after. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and seeing all the wildlife, especially the dolphins, making it an experience that we will never forget. The cruise was extremely well organised and managed and we would not hesitate in recommending this company to anyone.

Many thanks to Rob, Craig, Sarah and Zoe for a fantastic week aboard the Elizabeth G. The high winds restricted the potential destinations and so we did not make it to Staffa and Iona, but Rob kept us safe and still delivered interesting events. We were looked after extremely well all week and always entertained. The trip to Lunga with the Puffins, Shags, Razor Bills etc was the highlight (it was sunny) and the memories of the dolphins showing off to us (one almost joined us in the tender) will stay with us forever. Already booked for 2023 and hope to fit in another trip in between.

Just a quick email to thank you all for a great week cruising round Mull, even the weather was much better than we expected!

It WAS extra special for us - thank you for helping to celebrate our anniversary with a lovely cake in the sunshine on decks. A very memorable occasion.  Chef Jordan consistently provided first class quality food for all meals and there was plenty of it! It was good to hear from him about the dishes as they were served.  The boat was very clean and felt comfortable and cared for.  It was great to share evening meals with James and Will too.  Cabin, saloon and deck areas were all excellent.  The scenery was stunning and beautiful and it was good to have a daily briefing about plans for the next day.  Go for it!

Emma was at all times very communicative, helpful and personable.  The website is excellent and the whole build up felt professional and personable.  The accommodation was excellent, for a boat it was roomy and confortable - I managed to find a private space very day.  Jordan was fabulous, lovely and a great chef.  The scenery was outstanding; I thought I knew Mull, but seeing it from the water was a revelation.  Every anchorage was beautiful, calm and comfortable and quiet.  The knowledge, observation and and content of the wildlife guide Will was superb and James's local knowledge was what made the trip for me! Thank you for a wonderful experience - I can't believe I have to wait 18 months to get back aboard!!

Everything was brilliant - well chosen anchorages and islands to visit, giving maximum opportunity to see wildlife.  Plus a sensible change of plan to do some Minke whale observation.  Being vegetarian is always a bit sceptical going on holiday, however your food was exceptional.

As always, Emma was particularly helpful when we thought we had to cancel but then found we could still go on the trip and were able to re-book! It all worked perfectly, and the weather had been arranged to suit as well!  Go for it!

This must be one of the most relaxing holidays I have ever been on. A lifelong ambition was fulfilled be visiting Staffa and seeing Fingal's Cave and it was every bit as spectacular as I had hoped. Not only did we walk down the route to it to look into it but, thanks to Chris judging the tide to be right, he was able to get us right inside it. Iona and its abbey were impressive too of course and being able to land on Lunga in the Treshnish Islands and see the seabird colonies - puffins galore - was equally marvellous. The sail round Mull was an eye-opener too, seeing lochs from the sea rather than from the land. They were wonderful locations to spend the nights. And the weather was glorious. The wildlife was in abundance too with lots of seabirds and seals and good sightings of cetaceans. Bottle-nosed dolphins were the first up to bow-wave and we also had 4 or 5 Minke whales fishing and a few porpoises, but the most spectacular were over 100 Common Dolphins which came leaping from all directions to accompany us for over an hour. The hospitality on board was as friendly as ever on a Hebrides Cruises's trip thanks to Chris, Craig, Zoe and Sian with her delicious meals. Add to that very compatible fellow-travellers and no WiFi (so no gloomy news) and this was a holiday to be long treasured in the memory.
