Turning Wildlife Encounters into Marine Conservation
We are delighted to have been recognised with a Bronze Award through the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust’s Whale Track Scheme!
Whale Track recognises wildlife tourism operators who combine responsible wildlife watching with the collection of valuable marine wildlife data. Throughout the 2026 season, our crew and guides recorded sightings and contributed survey effort to the programme, helping to build a clearer picture of the whales, dolphins and other marine species found around Scotland’s coast.
On 3rd November, our Head Wildlife Guide & Assistant Shore Manager, Lynsey Bland and Guide, Kelda joined fellow operators at the HWDT Whale Track Boat Operator Event. It was a great chance to meet others in the scheme and to share ideas about wildlife watching, recording and conservation.
We believe wildlife tourism has an important part to play in conservation. Every day at sea is a chance to give our guests a memorable experience and also to gather information that can support research and decisions based on evidence.
This award reflects the commitment of our crew, but it belongs to our guests too. Everyone who sailed with us this season helped create opportunities to record wildlife and support long-term monitoring.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in 2026. By choosing to sail with us, you have shown how tourism and conservation can work together to benefit the marine environment.
We are proud to be part of a growing network of wildlife tourism businesses helping to make Scotland a leader in responsible marine wildlife tourism, and we look forward to continuing our contribution through Whale Track in 2027.
