Hebrides Magical Mini Cruise 3-nights

Emma - We’ve just returned from a three-day cruise on the Lucy Mary and are getting over the shock of having to cook for ourselves.  The whole experience was, as advertised, magical.  The whole crew showed us almost embarrassing levels of care without ever becoming over attentive and were never too busy to answer our questions.  The trip was a celebration of our diamond wedding but we’re going to have to find another excuse to come back!

What a wonderful way to explore the waters round Mull. We had a lovely few days and even had some good weather to enjoy the views, the wildlife and just the joy of sailing with the sun and wind on your face. Every one of the crew was great and our fellow travellers added to the overall fun. Thank you to Rob and Will for your understated coolness in charge of the boat, Poppy & Ellie for looking after us so well, and to Dave, the eagle whisperer, for finding white-tailed and golden eagles for us to enjoy. A truly magical experience.

I was excited about coming on the three night cruise on the Lucy Mary after being recommended by a friend and studying the website, which explained everything clearly and interestingly. The reality was even better than my already-high expectations. I wanted to see eagles and we saw both white-tailed and golden eagles very clearly, as well as puffins and a whole selection of other sea and land birds, a couple of seals - and the most amazing, colourful, quite beautiful giant jellyfish that swam under the boat. Dave the wildlife man was on deck before breakfast scanning for creatures to show us and tell us about, and stayed there throughout the day, when we sere at sea, until dusk. His deep knowledge and infectious enthusiasm were inspiring. Rob the skipper was skilful, Will the bosun busy and helpful, Poppy the steward was welcoming and efficient and our chef was creative and accomplished (the food was truly delicious and I'm going to replicate a couple of the dishes at home). We became good friends with the other passengers and enjoyed their company. So. It was a life-enhancing experience and sitting here at the computer back in London, I still have the sight, smell and taste of the sea in my memory to remind me. Thank you.

Exceeding every expectation our 3 night mini cruise was a delight from start to finish . Comfort on the Lucy Mary is second to none, we had our best 3 nights sleep for a long time!! The food was first class, best quality and wonderful imaginative menus. (Thank you Sammy). Nothing was ever too much trouble and everything has been thought of. ( Thank you Abbie) . Skipper Chris looked after us on and off the boat and was great company too. Indy our wildlife expert on the island stops and on the boat was engaging, knowledgeable and seemed to have eyes in the back of his head. All the crew love what they do and it shows! It was our first Hebrides cruise , although others were returner. We loved every minute of it and will be returners too . Even the weather played ball, with sunshine ☀️ every day .

Hi Emma - I just wanted to thank you and all your crew members for giving me the most incredible experience ever over the past few days. It is difficult to encapsulate it all in words ! From the minute we stepped on board the Lucy Mary we were treated like royalty. Abbie was amazing, discrete professional and easy to talk to. James, well his knowledge  and expertise incredible. It was just lovely to sit around the table and hear everyone's stories and experiences in life and I will treasure the memories. You have a real gem in Sammy the chef . The food was out of this world! Just exquisite! Indys knowledge on wildlife and how he could identify everything was amazing. His love for wildlife shone! Will a steady guy just making sure everything was as it should be - incredible.  So many highlights and laughs and just sheer joy to the soul. It was good to meet you and thank you for all the information you sent prior to boarding as it was all helpful. Very very special time. Thank you all.

We absolutely loved this trip. The stunning scenery of the west coast of Scotland, an incredible variety of wildlife and a great group of people (guests and crew!) combined to make unforgettable memories. The Lucy Mary was extremely comfortable and there was such attention to detail in every aspect. Congratulations to James and the whole team on a job done perfectly.  The mini cruise was magical indeed.

We recently had the privilege of embarking on a 3-day cruise with Hebrides Cruises, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we were met at the pontoon, we were treated with exceptional hospitality by the crew. The Captain's vast knowledge of the area and the wildlife guide's expertise made every moment feel like a treasure hunt, spotting dolphins, Puffins, Otters and an amazing variety of seabirds. As if that wasn't enough, the food was exquisite, with each meal carefully crafted to showcase local flavours and ingredients. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after each day's adventures. The care of Steward and the attention to detail in our cabins was amazing, it felt truly luxurious, with lots of personal touches and attention to detail that makes you feel special. Visiting the remote islands, such as the Lunga (Treshnish Isles), Cairns of Coll and Fingal's Cave was breathtaking. The sense of peace and remoteness and tranquility was incredible - it felt out of this world. The crew worked tirelessly to ensure every aspect of the cruise was perfect, from navigating through stunning landscapes to providing anything you need from refreshments, to care and knowledge of the boat and area, and to sharing stories around the dinner table. The crew were a delight and really helped make the experience hard to beat. I can highly recommend Hebrides Cruises for anyone seeking a unique and memorable experience. The combination of outstanding crew, stunning scenery, exceptional service, and warm company makes this cruise truly unforgettable. Emma, James and all of the Hebrides Cruises team - thank you for the most wonderful, memorable experience aboard Lucy Mary last weekend on the Hebrides Magical Mini-Cruise. We are missing it all so much already! Every single detail was so perfect, from the minute we stepped on board and were welcomed so warmly by the crew with the lovely Prosecco and canapés to the excitement of setting sail and knowing that we and our cruise companions had all begun a unique adventure together, making lifetime memories in the most tranquil, spiritual setting that would bond us all. Everything felt familiar and like home so quickly but also so far away from our day to day reality which didn’t creep in and disturb us once. We were utterly immersed in the experience and the wildlife aspect was simply phenomenal. I still can’t quite believe we actually experienced those moments. The anticipation of a ‘spot’, seeing a beastie emerge and sharing the wonder of that experience together as a group. Those are etched memories and I know how moved and elated every single person in our group was, time and time again on our trip. Having a pod of common dolphins, followed by bottle nose dolphins bow riding Lucy Mary as we journeyed towards Ardtornish was a moment we will never forget. It was other worldly and really quite emotional. The depth of knowledge and experience James has gave us the experiences we were so lucky to have, and having a wildlife guide on board is one of the most unique aspects of the cruise. James and Bella knew exactly what to look for in the waters which led to a successful spot each time - whales, dolphins, porpoises and all manner of sea birds. We had such lovely cruise companions - we all bonded and became very fond of each other quickly, with Hebrides Cruises creating the foundation for that with the quality of the experience. I hadn't appreciated just how much we would enjoy that aspect, being around people we had never met. It really is such a special part of the experience. The accommodation was so comfortable - a great night's sleep every night after those dreamy sunsets. The food was simply exceptional. The menu each day so varied and meal times were such a joy; everyone recounting the tales of the day with beautiful food and wine and just great company. The level of hospitality really was outstanding. The anchorages were also other worldly. I will never forget how I felt in our visit to the Cairns of Coll and that sense of peace and remoteness. Every moment was a complete pleasure and many of these moments felt very much like a gift from nature. It was so special. We were so lucky. The crew were just wonderful hosts and work so hard. Abbie is such a sparkling gem and one of life’s good people to be around. Sarah’s food was exceptional - the menu choices were so well thought out and just spot on and Bella such a cheery, light, positive gentle soul to be around with an infectious passion for sea life. I cannot recommend a cruise with Hebrides Cruises highly enough. It's a memory for life.

Cruise extended beyond expected area because of good sea conditions, allowing visits to Lunga and Cairns of Coll, both of which were spectacular.  Anchorages were sheltered and scenic.  Every effort made to spot and view wildlife in the area.  Crew worked hard to ensure high standards of cleanliness and exceptional dining, even for those who do not like seafood.  The 3 day mini cruise gives an opportunity for those unsure of life at sea to sample the experience and see the priority given to guest comfort.
