Another wonderful cruise with Skipper Alistair at the helm of Elizabeth G. Weather good and sea state benign. A particular highlight was a visit to Lunga before the day trip boats from Oban arrived. Here sitting opposite the Harp Rock colony of 10,000 - 12,000 Common Guillemots was spectacular. Add in 10,000 plus breeding puffins on the island, and it was quite the experience. Visits and walks on other nearby islands including Iona and Staffa produced a number of calling corncrakes….although rarely seen! General wildlife spotting of birds, dolphins and Minke Whales strongly aided by the brilliant wildlife guide Lyndsey. Chef Toby produced wonderful menus and excellent food from the Galley. The afternoon cakes always hit the mark. Lastly Georgia as Steward provided a cheery sole around the saloon.
